Sept 15, 1887. Frank Sincerny, age 23, switchman at Oil City (Venango County) was making coupling at Reno, the link caught the pin and pressed back catching his finger between pin and deadwood. Forefinger right hand was split nearly the entire length. No bones broken. Dr. Harding was first called, company surgeon J. A. Ritchey afterward attended him. Yardmaster W. J. Bailey, Thomas Farrell engineer.
